"[Lot of 37] Pacific Highway - Los Angeles to Vancouver B.C. via Coast and Inland Routes", Automobile Club of Southern California

This large set of 37 cards covers the coastal route from Los Angeles to Vancouver with excellent detail of the evolving road system. Additional maps show several "inland" routes including Vacaville to Red Bluff, Modesto to San Francisco, and Portland to The Dalles to name a few. The set includes one duplicate of the Fresno to Modesto map. These individually numbered single-card maps were precursors of the AAA “Trip Tik” travel maps. Most are dated 1923 and many have printed information on the verso regarding “Official Hotels” (only 7 shown for Los Angeles) and “Official Garages.” Housed in the original printed envelope.

Map cards are very good with occasional light soiling or faint toning. The envelope has a few tears and dampstains along the edges.
