This is a facsimile reprint of the 1587 English edition of Rene Laudonniere's account. The text describes the four different attempts by the French to establish a colony in the southeastern United States during the 1560s, beginning with Jean Ribaut arrival in Port Royal Sound, South Carolina and ending with Dominique de Gourgues defeat of the Spanish near St. Augustine. 18 page introduction, 128 pages of text, and tables. Stamped #161 out of 250 issued copies. Uncut text, hardbound in pictorial paper.
