Attractive miniature map based on Jodocus Hondius' folio map of Japan. The map follows the Ortelius/Teixeira type for Japan, with Korea shown as an island and an explanation that its insularity is uncertain. This small map is adorned with two decorative cartouches for the title and the scale of miles. Engraved by Petrus Kaerius for the Jansson's editions of the Atlas Minor. French text on verso.
