Splendid little map featuring the Strait of Magellan. The map is centered on a large, finely engraved, compass rose and further embellished with strapwork title and distance scale cartouches. French text on verso, published between 1609-14.

A bright example with minor issues in the blank margins, including a faint damp stain at left and some paper weakness at right, resulting in a small hole in the right blank margin.
