This rare and charming pictorial map of Iowa was printed by the Advertisers Press as a promotional item for the Hotel Fort Des Moines. It features several small illustrations depicting the state's history, landmarks, tourist attractions, and industries. Among the sites of interest shown are the state fairgrounds, the Mormon Trail, Indian Bluffs, and the "Oldest City West of the Mississippi" (Dubuque). The Missouri and Mississippi rivers are prominent on either side of the state.
