These two matching sheets include 10 engravings of important public buildings in Washington, DC. The central engravings are of the Capitol and the White House, with the smaller images showing the Smithsonian, the Observatory, War Department, Arsenal, Post Office, Treasury, Pension Office and Patent Office. The two-page spread includes text describing each of the buildings. Additional articles on verso.

Overall toning, a few minor spots of foxing, and a few tiny chips along the binding side of each sheet. There are archival repairs to a small chip on the first sheet at bottom left and a couple of short edge tears on either sheet, as well as a 2" tear at top right on the second sheet.
