This is a remarkable facsimile edition of Munster's 1550 Cosmographei, originally published by Henri Petri in Basel. This volume contains 1,234 pages of German text with numerous in-text illustrations and 125 maps, plans and bird's-eye views. This 1550 edition had a significant enlargement from the 1545 edition that contained only 31 maps. Published by de Haan in the Netherlands. Hardbound in full faux leather with gilt decorations and housed in a pictorial clamshell case.

Contents are clean and bright and the binding is fine. Clamshell case has light wear and minor soiling.
