"[Lot of 9 - Old Testament Engravings]",

Nice lot of copper engraved illustrations from the Old Testament depicting various scenes from the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Joshua, and Second Chronicles. Illustrations include Moses striking the rock to supply water, Joshua defeating the Amalekites, the spies returning from Canaan, the battle of Jericho, and the capture of the five Amorite kings. There are two scenes (7 x 5.3") on each sheet. They are from a Dutch biblical history by Ysbrand van Hamelsveld.

Dark impressions on watermarked paper with scattered foxing primarily confined to the blank margins and toning along the edges of the sheets. A couple of sheets have damp stains in the blank margins.
