This lovely frontispiece is centered on a monument supporting a portrait of John V, the King of Portugal. He is surrounded by mythological figures, including Atlas supporting a celestial globe, Athena and Fame. At right is a female figure representing the sciences, and at left is a putto representing the arts. Created by Stephanus Pozzi and Rocchus Pozzi.
