This fine chart details the Balearic Islands of Mallorca, Minorca, Ibiza, and Formentera, the latter two of which are here called the Pytuisae Islands. The map includes the Gulf of Valencia and the cities of Denia, Tarragona, Gandia, Valencia, and Tortosa, and extends to show Barcelona in the extreme north. Embellished with rhumb lines, sea monsters, two galleys, a sailing ship, compass roses, two coats-of-arms, and title and scale of miles cartouches. Latin text on verso, published between 1646-57.
