This fascinating sheet centers on a map of Britain under Roman rule, with a small map of England and Wales showing Anglo-Saxon kingdoms. An engraving illustrating a male and female figure at the time of Caesar's conquest of Britain fills the North Sea. Around the edge of the sheet are 54 medallion portraits depicting the royalty of Britain from Egbert (801) to Queen Anne (1701). The remainder of the sheet is filled with text on the history of Britain and tables concerning kings, states, and towns.

References: Shirley (BI to 1750) Chatelain 1.

A nice impression issued folding with some extraneous creasing and short edge tears in the top blank margin, a couple of which just touch the neatline.
