This is the revised English translation of Leo Bagrow's manuscript concerning the history of Russian cartography. Edited by Henry Castner, the work is divided into two parts. The first volume concerns European mapping of the region, while the second volume explores Russian mapping of its own country. The two volumes (Vol 1 - 140 pages, Vol 2 - 311 pages) are filled with 157 illustrations featuring many full page images. Includes a glossary of Russian terms, bibliography, and indices. Hardbound in pictorial green cloth.
