Lovely copper-engraved map covering northern Portugal down to Peniche with very intricate detail of the mountains, forests and cities. Adorned with four sailing galleons and a pictorial title cartouche reflecting the commerce of the region.

References: Shirley (BL Atlases) T.ZAT-1a #13.

Condition: B+

A nice impression on paper with the watermarks of two crescent moons and the initials "RV," with contemporary color in the map and cartouche and later color on the ships in the Atlantic. There is some extraneous creasing and very light soiling.
