This engraving depicts a Native American Chief kneeling before a contorted man on a shield surrounded by symbols. Native American soldiers stand in the background, many armed with breastplates, bows and arrows, and war clubs. This engraving appeared in John Hamilton Moore's (which may be a fictitious name) history of voyages, which was published by Alexander Hogg.
