This scarce and decorative double hemisphere world map includes a prominent Mer de l'Ouest and two potential Northwest Passages in the Pacific Northwest. It depicts partial coastlines of Australia, Tasmania, New Guinea, and New Zealand. The hemispheres are surrounded by decorative elements including banner titles flying above each hemisphere, an armillary sphere, a cannon, and more. This edition omits Bougoin's imprint from the rococo-style title cartouche.

A nice impression on thick, sturdy paper with some light soiling.
