This small but intricately detailed plan shows Gibraltar and its fortifications. The plan depicts the defenses as they were in 1704, during the War of the Spanish Succession, when the British, under Admiral Rooke, took the Rock. It is surrounded by German text that provides historical context and a key identifying numerous sites of interest.

A nice impression on a watermarked sheet with minor scattered foxing.
