The 310 pages of text contains additional illustrations including two views of the Capitol, White House, and City Hall. 12mo, rebacked in gilt-stamped cloth over original pictorial paper boards.
The Phillips reference is to the 1822 edition of this guide.

The folding map has a couple of minor stains, a few small ink notations at center, and a 3" binding tear at right that has been closed on verso with old tape. Text is very good with occasional manuscript notations. Covers are moderately worn and soiled.
