This elegantly engraved map shows Switzerland, Northern Italy, Austria, Hungary, and the western part of the Balkan peninsula. It features province and city names from the era of the Roman Empire and includes some nice topographical detail. There is an ornate title cartouche at bottom left. Engraved by Louis Cordier.

A dark impression with contemporary color on a clean, bright sheet with a large coat of arms watermark and minor toning along the top edge of the sheet.
