This map of the Black Sea was made by Ortelius on the basis of modern information presented in Mercator's maps of Southeast Europe, as well as classical sources. It is embellished with strapwork title and scale cartouches. This is the third state with Latin text on verso, published in 1624.

Condition: A

A bright sheet with professional repairs along the centerfold to several small worm tracks and to a chip confined to the bottom blank margin.
