This pictorial map of Paris is absolutely packed with humorous illustrations showing the "faces of Paris." It Includes many of the well known sites including the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Statue of Liberty replica on the Ile aux Cygnes. While there are far too many faces to name, some of the more eye-catching scenes include mermaids in the Seine River, the aristocracy at Versailles, dancing at Moulin Rouge, and an old astronomer inspecting a woman's face on the moon. Drawn by Paul Jeffay (Saul Yaffie) and "sold for the benefit of needy artists." The explanatory text written by Tristan Remy notes that Jeffay has intentionally chosen to show Paris in a humorous way to contrast the darker political and economic issues at the time. Printed by the Mourlot Brothers and folds into tan paper wrappers (5.7 x 8.7").
