This colorful pictorial map covers the region from La Jolla south to the Mexican border, and east to El Cajon and the Sweetwater Reservoir. It is drawn in a style very similar to the work Jo Mora, and is filled with humorous illustrations. The map is surrounded by a series of vignettes depicting San Diego's history. The verso contains a detailed map of the California Pacific International Exposition held at Balboa Park, and includes signs identifying the Gold Gulch, Zoro Gardens (nudist colony), and the Spreckels Organ. The exposition was so successful that it was held over for an additional year. Illustrated by Don Bloodgood and produced by the Shell Oil Company.
