Interesting map of the Holy Land with north oriented to the right that depicts the wandering of the Children of Israel. It is a reduced version of Visscher's earlier map and engraved by Richard Palmer.
The map is filled with notations and biblical references, and embellished with tiny vignettes, ships, Jonah and the whale, and a decorative cartouche. The paper on this example has been double red-lined ruled just outside of the plate mark, which was a common embellishment for a royal presentation set.

A dark impression with light scattered foxing and faint offsetting.
