Attractive map of the Brie-producing region with Paris at top left and the cities of Meaux, Chateau-Thierry, Melun, and Montereau. The map is fully engraved with rivers, mountains and forests. Engraved by Damien de Templeux. French text on verso.

References: Pastoureau, LECLERC A [19].

Condition: B+

A nice impression on paper with a bunch of grapes watermark, a small stain in left border, and a damp stain in the right blank margin. An old manuscript line has been added from just east of Paris to the top right corner of the map, and down the right-hand side of the map. As the outline color follows this manuscript line, it appears seamless on the map.

Estimate: $150 - $180
