A beautifully engraved chart of the Azores based on Luis Teixeira's cartographic work with three ornate title cartouches and a title banner at top center. The sea is fully engraved in stipple and features a sea monster and sailing ships. Italian text on verso, published between 1608-15.

Condition: A
Excellent impression on paper with the horn coat of arms watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There is a hint of toning along the centerfold and several light damp stains confined to the wide, blank margins.
