This large and detailed map of the Canal Zone and its surroundings was originally compiled in 1927 and has been updated to 1957. Special attention is paid to the area's intricate system of rivers and waterways, and mountains are shown with their elevations. Numerous small islands are identified, and Colon and Panama City are depicted in miniature plan form. A forest and wildlife preserve are noted. An inset at top right covers the Madden Lake watershed, and another at bottom left zooms out to show all of Panama.
