This is a spectacular pocket map by the Colton brothers. The large map is filled with an incredible amount of information: towns, villages, watershed, lakes, swamps, forts, railroads, coastal details, and detailed surveying information. The map is copyright 1880, but above the distance scale at lower left is the updated date of 1883. This edition was "prepared for Ashmead Brothers, publishers, booksellers, stationers, printers, and binders, Jacksonville, Florida." Folds into brown cloth embossed and gilt covers. Original Colton label on inside cover describes "Maps and Atlases" for sale by the firm.

Condition: B+

Light toning along a few folds with several small stains and short splits at fold intersections. The covers are worn with small stains and abrasions and a few small holes along the spine.
