The copper engravings from A New, Authentic and Complete Collection of Voyages Round the World…Complete Historical Account of Captain Cook's First, Second, Third and Last Voyages… Edited by George William Anderson and published by Alexander Hogg in London, 1784-86. Cook's discoveries in the Pacific formulate the final chapter in 18th Century exploration. These engravings provide a delightful view of the discoveries, people and customs of the Pacific region.
This map shows the coastline of northwestern North America and northeastern Asia, with particular emphasis on Bristol Bay north to the Bering Strait. The detail is focused on Cook's explorations, including his third and final expedition, with his tracks shown with dotted lines. Engraved by G. Byrne.

Issued folding, now flattened with light offsetting and a few minor extraneous creases. There is a thin strip along the right-hand vertical fold that was cut, and has been replaced with period-correct paper with a minute amount of the rhumb lines replaced in facsimile.
