This decorative map of Central America depicts the majority of Mexico through Costa Rica, and extends to include part of the southern coastline of the US to Florida and Cuba. Cities, rivers, mountains and even volcanoes are illustrated. The title cartouche features a large architectural structure surmounted by weaponry, with Native Indians trading with a European on the right and a sailing ship in the background.

A dark impression on paper with wide margins and a fleur-de-lis coat of arms watermark, some printer's ink residue, a few minor printer's creases, and a few tiny abrasions.
