This attractive school atlas contains a total of 22 maps on 20 sheets including celestial (2), world (1), continents (6), and regional maps of Europe (13 on 11 sheets). The map of North America shows a pre-Gadsden purchase configuration with no state/terrritorial borders and only basic topographical detail. Includes an inset map of the Aleutian Islands and comparative view of mountains at bottom. The map of Asia prominently depicts the Great Wall of China and the rugged topography in the region around Tibet. Two distinctive charts show the solar system and the composition of the earth. Hardbound in quarter brown cloth over marbled boards with paper title label on the front cover.
