This miniature traveler's guide describes the history, customs, and laws of the region as well as traveling routes. Of particular interest are descriptions of Aleppo, Baghdad, Damascus, Medina and Mecca to name a few. This is the second edition, following Jansson's work published in 1633. Decorated by an engraved title page featuring a native in local dress. 247 pages of Latin text. 32mo. Hardbound in full leather with raised bands and gilt title on spine.
