This geography book consists of two parts: the first focuses on the "General View of the Terraqueous Globe" and the second focused on the "Particular View of the Terraqueous Globe," with copper-engraved plates by Robert Morden. It is complete with 16 maps including 12 of Europe and one each of the world, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Both the world map and the Americas map feature California as an Island and a huge blank area in northwestern North America. 12mo, 428 pages. Fourth edition. Hardbound in original full calf with raised bands on spine.

Condition: A

Condition code is for the maps which are dark impressions on very clean sheets. Text is also clean and bright with the exception of six pages that are toned (pp. 217-223). The front board separated from the text block some time ago and has been partially reattached using leather straps. Covers are worn, the edges are bumped, and there are a few cracks to the spine.
