A charming miniature map of France divided into provinces and showing the major cities and rivers. Pierre Duval was Nicolas Sanson's nephew and pupil. He published a wide range of atlases and individual maps including a fine miniature world geography with many of the maps based on Sanson.

Original color on watermarked paper with very light toning, marginal soiling, and a few tiny worm tracks confined to the blank margins that have been professionally repaired.
