Handsome and beautifully composed map of the vicinity of Verona, from Mantua to Trento, with Lake Garda shown prominently. The map is based on the cartography of Bernardino Brugnoli. A large, exotic title cartouche fills the upper left corner. Latin text on verso, published in 1603.
References: Van den Broecke #120.
A sharp impression on paper with the horn coat of arms watermark commonly seen on Ortelius' maps. There is light toning, a few spots of foxing mostly confined to the blank margins, and a couple of short edge tears.
