This fabulous and rare sheet centers on a map of the southwestern part of the Iberian Peninsula, including all of Portugal and southwestern Spain, extending east past Madrid. The map is surrounded by 24 superb views of Portuguese and Spanish cities including: Lisbon, Braga, Evora, Coimbra, Elvas, Portalegre, Aronces, Ferreira do Alentejo, Mont Santo/Idanha Velha dans le Beira, Faro, Castelo Branco, Salvatierra, Cadix, Sevilla, Toledo, Madrid, Villa Viscosa, Estremoz, Setubal, Porto, St. Giaco a l'Entre du Tage. Flanking the map are columns of text describing the country of Portugal. The map is adorned with a title cartouche featuring the coats of arms of important cities and regions.
