Lovely small map of Peru from this slightly larger format Atlas Minor. The map is fully engraved to depict the mountainous country and numerous towns and cities of the Inca civilization. Decorated with a strapwork title cartouche, large compass rose and rhumb lines. Latin text on verso.

References: Van der Krogt (Vol. III) #9820:353.1.

Condition: B+

A crisp impresison with a faint damp stain, very light toning, some show-through of text on verso, and a small chip in the top right corner. There are some old manuscript ink marks on verso that are visible on recto and have caused a couple of tiny cracks at the top of the title cartouche, and the entire area has now been professionally reinforced on verso.

Estimate: $200 - $230
