A. American Views - Prospects and Vistas, by Gloria-Gilda Deak, published 1976, printed color (12.1 x 10.5"). This appealing reference features 48 views of notable American locations. It spans from an engraving of Huguenot sea captain Rene Goulaine de Laudonniere meeting natives in Mayport, Florida, in 1564 to a lithograph of the grand opening of the Brooklyn Bridge in 1883. Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Denver, Detroit, New Orleans, Baltimore, Cincinnati, and Richmond are among the cities depicted. The book includes an introduction by James Thomas Flexner in addition to the mini-essays that accompany each of the full-color illustrations. 134 pp. Hardbound in blue boards with gilt titles on blue cloth spine. Condition: Contents tight and covers like new but for very minor shelf wear. There is minor shelf wear and a few short edge tears on the dust jacket. (A)

They are organized by state, with sections for Washington, D.C. and Canada. The book includes a preface, introduction, and index. 118 pp. Illustrated soft covers. Condition: Contents very good with minor toning and soiling along the edges. Light wear to the covers. (B+)
