This is a special limited edition copy (#32 out of just 100 copies) published by Halton & Truscott Smith Ltd., London, 1926. It is an excellent and sought after reference compiled from maps in the MacPherson Collection, one of the finest collections in existence. Seventy-nine maps are reproduced, including 19 full-color (1 folding) tipped in, and it includes a catalogue of atlases published from 1477 to1875. 4to, three quarter vellum over brown cloth boards with gilt titles on the spine. Printed on quality rag stock.

Contents are very good with light toning and minor soiling on the edges and minor scattered foxing that is mostly confined to the endpapers. There is light soiling and slight shelf wear to the covers.
