Established in 1928, the Standard School Broadcast was a weekly radio show that promoted music appreciation and history for children. The program continued until the 1970s and received numerous accolades. This very colorful map was issued to accompany the 38th series entitled "We Are Americans." It covers the entire Western Hemisphere and delineates political boundaries and basic topographical features. Each country's flag is shown, with illustrations of various dance types filling the interior. In the United States, the Cake Walk, Corn Dance, Square Dance, and Hula are featured. Drawn by Charles Berry and published by the Chevron Research Company.
