An attractive map of the state that shows the rock formations illustrated in 8 different hand colors. Several triangulations are shown in the southern part of the state, and numerous railroads are depicted throughout. The map is accompanied by Hitchcock's 31 page report that describes the work completed for the 1869-1870 season. Printed by John B. Clarke, State Printer, in Manchester. 8vo, paperback with gray wrappers.

Condition: B+

The map is lightly toned with a short fold separation confined to the bottom blank margin. Report text is very good with an occasional spot of foxing. The paper wrappers are soiled and the front wrapper has separated. Old stamps appear on the front wrapper, title page, and verso of the map.
