This uncommon, decorative map of the Union Pacific Railroad depicts the rail lines from Omaha west to Portland and San Francisco. Designed for the traveler, the map is filled with illustrations of points of interest along with an elevation profile at bottom. The map is still bound into a complimentary 68 page booklet including relevant information for the traveler, describing many different points for "health and pleasure" as well as train rates, meals, stops, etc.
The map is near fine with faint color offsetting and a few spots confined to the blank margins. Text is very good with light toning. Covers have minor soiling, a few tiny chips, and the spine has been reinforced with archival tape.
