This handsome map of the environs of the Black Sea in classical times is filled with ancient place names and titled also in Greek. It is based on Ortelius' map of the same title. Petrus Kaerius engraved the map and ornamented it with sailing ships and a decorative title cartouche. Latin text on verso.

A nice impression with original color and wide margins. There is light scattered foxing that is more prominent in the blank margins and a short repaired fold separation that is confined to the bottom blank margin.
