Over 13,100 atlases, arranged chronologically within geographic divisions, are listed across these volumes. Volume 5 is divided into two broad categories: World - Special Atlases and World - General Atlases. Volume 6 focuses on atlases from continents from all over the world with the exception of the Americas, which are covered in Volume 7. Each features full collations, lists of maps, and copious annotations. Volume 8 is the Index to Volume 7. The indexes include cartographers, engravers, and geographic subjects. 8vo, uniformly hardbound in blue cloth with gilt titles on spines. Condition: Contents tight.
