This fine map of the county has an inset plan of Monmouth and portrait of King Henry V who was born at Monmouth Castle. The map shows the six hundreds, cities, markets, towns and villages with a surprising amount of detail. Large strapwork cartouches balance the corners of the map. Imprint of Thomas Bassett and Richard Chiswell at bottom left. English text on verso.

Moderate toning on paper with a fleur-de-lis watermark, several stains in the bottom blank margins, and a few small chips along the top edge of the sheet.
