This lot contains two of four sheets that chart the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. to its entrance at the Chesapeake Bay. The charts feature a wealth of information and indicate soundings, tides, lighthouses, and the shoreline configuration. Originally issued by the Coast Survey in 1862-1868.
