An attractive map of southern Greece includes a bit of Turkey and the island of Crete. The map notes ancient roads and is filled with placenames and cities. The classical-themed cartouche is surrounded with philosophers, the Colossus of Rhodes, wrestling and other symbols of ancient Greece. Additional Latin title "Graeciae pars Meridionalis" above map.

Condition: B

Original outline color with later coloring in the cartouche, on watermarked paper with light soiling and several extraneous creases adjacent to the centerfold. There are archivally repaired centerfold separations in top and bottom blank margins, and a faint damp stain along centerfold at bottom.
