This large, colorful and beautifully engraved map shows the island divided into thirteen precincts, and is filled with numerous place names, forts, churches, rivers, plantations, and pastures. The large title cartouche features a mermaid and several putti holding a drape on which the title is emblazoned. Engraved by Luggert van Anse.

A crisp impression with full original color, one tiny hole along the southern coastline, and one small, faint stain.
