This is the northern sheet of Delisle's important two-sheet map of the Russian Empire. The map is centered on Moscow and provides great detail of the towns, roads, forests and topography. The map is decorated with a nice title cartouche featuring a sleigh, coat of arms, animals and a hunter.

Watermarked paper with original outline color and later coloring in the cartouche. There are several small worm tracks along the centerfold that have been professionally infilled, as well as a tiny hole caused by a paper flaw at far left.
