"Sueciae, Norvegiae, et Daniae, Nova Tabula", Jansson, Jan

This decorative map of Scandinavia and the Baltic region features great detail. It is richly ornamented with sailing ships, a scale of miles accompanied by the figure of a surveyor, and a splendid title cartouche that includes coats of arms, flags, animals, and sea monsters. This is from a Spanish edition of the atlas, published from 1653 to 1666.

Full original color on a slightly toned sheet with a few stains stains and couple of edge tears along the bottom edge that just enter the map image. There is a 1/2" centerfold separation at top and a 4" separation at bottom, the latter of which has archivally repaired.
