Edinburgh Castle is prominently shown atop Castle Rock at left. In the background, ships can be seen in the Firth of Forth. Men race by on horseback in the foreground. A dark impression on watermarked paper with a small rust spot adjacent to Castle Rock and an archivally repaired tear that just enters into the image at bottom. There are small chips, short edge tears, and toning, all confined to the sheet's edges.
