According to its authors, it "is designed to meet the needs of tourists and visitors coming to our city, and will be found not only exact, but of more than passing interest, well worthy a place on the library table of every home, as a valued souvenir of the Crescent City." Included with the guide is "The Rand McNally New Commercial Atlas Map of New Orleans" (12 x 19"), which shows the street grid pattern of the city along the Mississippi River and locates important buildings and parks. Compiled and published by the Creole Publishing Company in New Orleans.
The map is near fine with a bit of minor soiling confined to the blank margins. The text is very good with light toning and a small chip in the title page where the map was previously adhered to it. Covers have a few small edge chips and minor soiling.
